Every year, The Garden City Mexican Fiesta hold’s the annual “Miss Garden City” which is tied to a 1,000-dollar scholarship. This year’s winner was Heidy Aguilar, who is very involved at GCCC. Heidi is a sophomore majoring in music. She participates on the GCCC track team, is the first violin in the string quartet, and a co-captain of the marching band’s color guard.

Heidy reigned supreme and is planning on competing at Miss Kansas a Miss America state competition next summer.
