Zach Bryan is one of the fastest-growing country music singers of all time. He writes his songs with true emotions and vulnerability from life experiences we can all relate to. Micah Perez, a student here at GCCC, is a true diehard fan of Zach Bryan and speaks highly of his words,
“His lyrics are real, not something made up, you can feel his emotion in his music.” said Perez. His songs take people to a place where they can feel free, and his raspy voice and experience attract non-country and country music fans alike. His music genre is a mixture of country, folk, and American.
Zach Bryan was born on April 2nd, 1996, in Okinawa, Japan. He grew up in the small town of Oologah, Oklahoma. He came from a family of veterans and enlisted at the age of 17 years old. His parents are Dewayne and Annette Bryan and he has a sister named Mckenzie. His mom passed away in 2016 and his debut album, DeAnne, was created in her honor. Zach served seven years in the Navy before becoming a singer and songwriter. He received the rank of Petty Officer Second Class in his time served. Zach Bryan became the man everyone was talking about when he released a video for his new platinum song, ‘Heading South’, on an iPhone. In the video, Zach Bryan’s passion is highlighted as he is singing his song at a campfire on-base in Florida.
Zach Bryan is a man with an old soul. His music is real. From the lyrics to the sound, and to the scenery in his videos. His authentic style and independence make him unique. Zach Bryan hasn’t had any help from the music industry and continues to be on his own, he says “Nashville ain’t for me.” Currently, Zach Bryan’s recent album called Zach Bryan, his song ‘I Remember Everything’ featuring Kacey Musgraves is number one in the USA top 100 right now on Apple Music along with the entire album being #1 as well. He has won many awards for his music, to name a few, he has platinum labels for his song ‘Heading South’ and double platinum for ‘Something In The Organe’, and more to come. Zach was also the #1 songwriter on the Billboard Top Country Song Artists charts for 38 weeks due to his ability to write his music. He recently announced his 2024 tour called ‘Quittin Time Tour’ and he has plans to go much bigger in tour length and venue size.
