Fall is here and that calls for all your favorite pumpkin baked goods! Pumpkin bread is one of the best fall treats for a quick morning breakfast or a late-night snack. With ingredients you already have at your house, pumpkin bread makes for the easiest sweet treat that you can make for your friends and family.
The ingredients needed include:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 cups canned pumpkin
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup canola oil
- 3 eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
This pumpkin bread takes just 7 easy steps.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease two 8×4 loaf pans using cooking spray or parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mix the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
- In a large bowl, mix the pumpkin, brown sugar, granulated sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients into the large bowl with the wet ingredients. Mix slowly until ingredients are combined and moist.
- Fold in your desired amount of chocolate chips, making sure to save some for the top of the bread.
- Pour batter into each loaf pan until both pans have an equal amount. (Top with extra chocolate chips if preferred.)
- Bake for 50-55 minutes. Check if bread is done baking by using a toothpick in the center of the bread. (If the toothpick comes out clean, the bread is done.)
- Let pans cool for at least 10 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
