In case you live under a rock, Halloween is upon us. The holiday is literally fourteen days away. If you have not picked out a costume or at least thought of a couple of ideas, what are you doing? If you have already pre-planned your festive look, congratulations!
Two weeks from now everyone is allowed to play dress up in an even more acceptable environment than usual. Now I know as college students we should not go trick-or-treating but who is to say we are not allowed to throw something on and have a good time? Even if you do not plan on going all out and burning a hole in your pocket, I have what I think is the best costume idea that could either make or break the holiday, you choose.
As basic as it sounds, I do not think anyone could go wrong with spending the night as a clown. We all would fit the role extremely well, take that as you please. The idea of clowns is so abstract, one day people are hiring them for birthday parties then running from them in fear the next. Clowns can be seen in bright colors or even in black and white. Nothing is more fun than dressing in the loudest colors that scream “I am right here!” However, if colors are not your cup of tea and you need some inspiration, I suggest you take some advice from well-known clowns like Art the Clown or Pennywise, but only in the looks category.
Truthfully, a clown’s image connects us to our inner child. Think about it, we were around ten or eleven and scared beyond measure because of the clown sightings back in 2016. If you have ever said those internet posts did not have you paranoid, you are a liar. Honestly, I would not be surprised if that national phenomenon is in future history books.
All in all, do not dillydally because the next two weeks are going to fly by. Go ahead and purchase some face paint if you do not already have some, find the wackiest wig ever, craft up a funky jumpsuit and have some fun!
