The time has officially come for all die-hard football fans! That’s right, Superbowl Sunday is less than a week away! Time to start planning your Superbowl party, making bets on which team you think is going to take home the championship title, and repping some gear; that is, if your team made it to the big game this year. In honor of football’s biggest day, let’s go through a rundown on the game time festivities.  

Superbowl LIX will be held on February 9, 2025, in New Orleans, Louisiana at Ceasars Superdome. The game will be nationally televised on FOX at 6:30pm EST, as well as live streamed on Tubi for free. This game will mark the eighth time the Ceasars Superdome has hosted the Superbowl. Not only is the game of football a big deal, but so is the halftime show. This year’s halftime show will be performed by renowned rapper, Kendrick Lamar and r&b star SZA. The two creators have been longtime friends and collaborators, so it is bound to be a great performance.  

Since we have covered some of the details about where and when the game and performances will be held, let’s get into the more interesting details. Let’s dive into the teams going head-to-head, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. This year’s game is looked at as a “rematch game” after the 2023 Superbowl when the Chiefs beat the Eagles 38-35. The NFC East team, the Eagles, combined a total of 14 wins and 3 loses this season. They are returning to the football championship game for the fifth time ever; only having 1 Superbowl win in 2018. On the flip side, the Kansas City Chiefs put together a 15-2 season. This is their 7th Superbowl appearance, going for their 3rd consecutive win in a row.
