On January 25th, 2020 GCPD responded to a call regarding a vehicle being stolen near the hospital (South 4th St). Thankfully, they were able to arrive quickly and found the stolen truck before it got too far. However, when they attempted to pull the truck over, the driver of the truck (Cristino Garcia) kept going (regardless of the sirens from the police). The truck stopped, only once, to let a woman (Marissa Garcia) out of the vehicle. Marissa was later found to be in possession of methamphetamine when they discovered her hiding in a backyard. Cristino is facing potential charges of Theft, Interference With a Law Officer, and Fleeing/Evading Arrest. Marissa is facing potential charges for an outstanding warrant she had prior to arrest and Possession of Methamphetamine
