Last Friday, October 4, HALO hosted their 32 annual Hispanic Student Day. The event, founded by Lidia Gonzales, took place at the DPAC on campus where free food and drinks were provided for everyone to enjoy. Students from surrounding high schools, as well as many of Garden City Community College’s clubs were in attendance. The focus is to inform students that it is possible for them to further their education, to promote technical programs and clubs available to students, and to inform future college students of the resources available: like financial aid and scholarships.
