Garden City Community College held a remembrance gathering for all the lives lost on 9/11. It was held Monday September 13th in front of the SCSC building at the flagpole. Students, teachers, first responders, and the police department were all present to pay tribute to those fallen 20 years ago. In an interview Undersheriff Steve Martinez stated that we can do more to keep our promise to “Never Forget”, especially with young adults who were not alive when it happened. He said “ Despite what’s going on today or how you feel about today, everyone needs to know about 9/11”.
