Fiesta Parade

On September 14, 2019 the annual Fiesta Parade will take place. The parade takes place along main street and will commence at 10 a.m. Students involved in HALO help organize the parade and get everything show ready before the parade commences. Sponsors are there to support the students and help out where they can. “It is basically all student ran and is up to the students.” Johana Gonzale, a HALO sponsor, said. The students are responsible for things like getting walkie talkies to the people who need them and finishing up their own float to make sure everything is where it needs to be. “HALO first got involved with the parade from Linda Gonzales, who is the founder of HALO”. Mela Vigil, a HALO sponsor, said. Ever since the club has participated in the parade regularly.

Besides being involved with the parade, HALO will also have a fiesta of their own on Monday, September 16, 2019; This day also happens to be Mexican Independence Day: a day that celebrates Hispanic culture. HALO is hosting celebration called the Campus Fiesta by serving food and drink at the quad from one to three o’clock that afternoon. All students are encouraged to come enjoy good food and hang out with HALO.
