Racing Toward Greatness

Maddy Schreibvogel does not just run races, she chases progress. From the moment she stepped onto the track for her collegiate debut, there was something different about her. In her first 200 meters, she clocked a 27.05, a solid start but not where she wanted to stay. The 400 meters followed at 1:02.19, another stepping
stone, another mark to beat. And that’s exactly what she did.

Meet after meet, Maddy kept showing up and not just physically but mentally tougher each time. Her strides grew stronger, her finishes sharper. Then came the breakthrough. She surged through the 400 meters in 1:00.54, a personal best and good enough to take first place. It wasn’t just a victory, it was proof of everything she’d been working for. She didn’t stop there. In the 200 meters race, she pushed herself to a 26.85, earning a fifth-place finish and another personal best. Even on days when she didn’t hit a new record, like her 1:00.96 in the 400, she stayed consistent, competitive and hungry. To others, those times might just be numbers. But to Maddy, they tell a story of early mornings, tired legs and the decision to keep going anyway. And the season isn’t over yet.
